Welcome

In its publications, special consideration is given to works that have never been reprinted or, in the case of manuscripts, never printed. The Society is particularly well known for its pioneering editions of miscellanies and women writers. As it embarks on a new partnership with Iter, the Society is looking forward to fostering academic discourse about online editions and experimenting with new models such as digital and hybrid editions.

The Renaissance English Text Society welcomes new individual memberships at any time. Dues of $50 US ($35 for graduate students or $750 for a Lifetime membership) for members are payable at the beginning of each calendar year. Each member is mailed, free of charge, the annually published text as a clothbound volume in the last quarter of the year.

A complete list of publications available from our publisher, Iter, may be accessed here.

The Renaissance English Text Society welcomes proposals for new publications.

The Society sponsors papers, lectures, or forums at academic conferences. At least one such event occurs each year in conjunction with the national meetings of the Modern Language Association, theRenaissance Society of America, and the Medieval Congress at Kalamazoo.
